Bradford White Water Heating & Boiler Specialists

Bradford White Equipment Is Excellent.

The Installation Has to Be Excellent Too.

Choosing the right water heater or boiler involves much more than picking a model from a brochure. Mr. Tankless helps New Jersey homeowners evaluate hot-water demand, gas supply, venting, chimney conditions, water quality, recirculation, heating load and installation requirements before recommending equipment.

Our Philosophy

“Don't start with a model number. Start with the house.”

The best water heater or boiler is not automatically the largest, newest or most expensive appliance. It is the system that fits the building, available utilities and the way your family actually uses hot water and heat.

Bradford White Heating Equipment

Three Solutions. Three Very Different Applications.

There is no single “best” water heater for every New Jersey home. A conventional atmospheric water heater may be exactly right for one house, while another may benefit from an Infiniti® tankless system or a Brute FT® combination boiler.

Mr. Tankless evaluates the entire installation before making a recommendation — including hot-water demand, heating requirements, gas capacity, venting, combustion air, chimney condition, water quality, condensate disposal, electrical requirements and future maintenance.

Choose the Right Technology

Bradford White Water Heating & Boiler Options

We help you understand the strengths, limitations and installation requirements of each system before you make the investment.

01
Simple, Proven Storage

Bradford White Atmospheric Gas Water Heaters

Traditional technology can still be an excellent solution when a home has suitable chimney venting, adequate combustion air and hot-water demand that fits a storage system.

  • Familiar, proven storage-water-heating design
  • Bradford White Defender Safety System®
  • Vitraglas® tank lining
  • Bradford White ICON System® gas control
  • Straightforward replacement in suitable applications

Often a good fit for: homeowners who want a dependable conventional replacement and already have an appropriate chimney or natural-draft venting arrangement.

02
Continuous On-Demand Hot Water

Bradford White Infiniti® Tankless

Tankless technology heats water as it is needed rather than continually maintaining a large storage tank of hot water. Proper sizing and installation are essential to achieving the performance homeowners expect.

  • Continuous hot-water production when correctly sized
  • Compact wall-mounted installation
  • High-efficiency condensing technology
  • Natural-gas and propane applications
  • Recirculation options on applicable models
  • Reduced standby heat loss

Often a good fit for: households wanting continuous hot water, additional floor space and high-efficiency operation when gas, venting, electrical and water conditions support the conversion.

03
Home Heating + Domestic Hot Water

Bradford White Brute FT® Combination Boiler

For the right hydronically heated home, a Brute FT combination boiler can provide both space heating and domestic hot water from one compact high-efficiency appliance.

  • Space heating and domestic hot water in one unit
  • High-efficiency condensing operation
  • Stainless-steel heat-exchanger technology
  • Compact floor-standing footprint
  • Ideal for many hydronic heating applications
  • Must be sized to the home’s actual heating load

Often a good fit for: homes with hot-water baseboard, radiant-floor or other hydronic heating that want to modernize both the boiler and domestic hot water system.

Tankless Sizing Matters

The Number of Bathrooms Alone Does Not Determine Tankless Capacity.

New Jersey’s colder winter inlet-water temperature affects the amount of hot water a tankless unit can produce. We evaluate real operating conditions rather than selecting equipment from a single brochure number.

Before You Choose Tankless

Five Things We Check First

Tankless can be an excellent solution — but the house has to support it.

01

Hot-Water Demand

We consider showers, sinks, appliances, tubs and how many fixtures may operate at the same time.

02

Gas Supply

High-input tankless appliances can require significantly more instantaneous gas than the appliance they replace.

03

Venting

Condensing appliances require approved intake and exhaust materials, routing, clearances and termination locations.

04

Condensate

High-efficiency equipment creates condensate that must be safely and correctly drained.

05

Water Quality

Hardness and mineral content affect heat-transfer surfaces, filters and long-term maintenance requirements.

Measured — Not Guessed

The Most Important Piece of Heating Equipment We Bring May Be Our Combustion Analyzer.

A modern gas appliance cannot be properly evaluated simply because the flame looks blue or because the water gets hot.

During appropriate startup and service procedures, a calibrated combustion analyzer measures actual flue-gas performance so the technician can compare operating conditions with the manufacturer’s specifications and commissioning procedures.

O₂ / CO₂

Air-to-fuel relationship and combustion quality

CO

Carbon monoxide level in the flue gas

Flue Temperature

Exhaust temperature under operating conditions

Efficiency

Calculated operating performance from measured data

Our objective isn’t merely to make the equipment turn on. Our objective is to install it, commission it and verify its operation.

Why Bradford White?

Professional Equipment Should Be Paired With Professional Installation.

Bradford White uses a professional distribution model and directs homeowners looking for its equipment to plumbing professionals. We like that philosophy.

1

The Application Comes First

Equipment should be selected for the building — not simply because a particular model is popular.

2

Installation Matters

Gas, combustion, venting, water, drainage, pressure and electrical requirements all affect the finished system.

3

Startup Matters

A modern boiler or tankless appliance is a precision gas appliance that should be commissioned correctly.

A Water Heater Isn't Just Another Appliance.

A gas-fired water heater or boiler involves some combination of:

Gas • Combustion • Venting • Carbon Monoxide Safety • Potable Water • Drainage • Electricity • Pressure • Temperature

Correct selection and installation matter.

Why Mr. Tankless?

We Want You to Understand the System Before You Buy It.

We don’t believe homeowners should have to become plumbers to buy a water heater.

But we do believe you should understand what you are paying for, why it was selected and what maintenance the system will require.

Mr. Tankless is an independent plumbing contractor and is listed through Bradford White’s contractor-finding resources. We are not employees of Bradford White, and contractor-directory listing should not be interpreted as manufacturer certification or endorsement.

Bradford White FAQ

Questions New Jersey Homeowners Ask Us

Good equipment still depends upon proper selection, installation, startup and maintenance.

Not automatically. Tankless can provide continuous hot water, high-efficiency operation and substantial space savings, but a conversion may require additional gas piping, venting, electrical and condensate work. In some homes, a properly sized conventional Bradford White tank remains the more practical choice.

Tankless means the appliance heats water on demand. It does not necessarily mean hot water instantly appears at a distant faucet. Pipe length and the design of any recirculation system affect how quickly hot water reaches each fixture.

In many hydronic-heating applications, yes. However, the boiler has to satisfy both the home's heating requirement and peak domestic hot-water demand. The existing heating system and building load should be evaluated before making that decision.

Older boilers are often oversized, and the home itself may have changed through insulation improvements, new windows, additions or remodeled radiation. We prefer to evaluate the actual heating requirement rather than automatically copying the old nameplate.

Combustion testing measures actual flue-gas performance while the appliance is operating. A qualified technician can compare values such as oxygen or carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and flue temperature with the manufacturer's procedures and specifications.

Yes. Maintenance requirements vary according to equipment, water quality, usage and installation. Tankless and condensing equipment can require periodic inspection, inlet-filter cleaning, condensate checks and descaling when conditions call for it.

Yes. Mr. Tankless is based in New Providence, New Jersey and serves homeowners throughout our New Jersey service territory. Contact us with your town or ZIP code and we can confirm service availability.

In many cases, yes. Existing gas capacity, venting, plumbing, electrical requirements, water conditions and equipment location first need to be evaluated so we can determine the best replacement approach.
